When implementing Sikka Software, and/or when troubleshooting a support request, a Customer Success Manager may ask to install Team Viewer (a remote connection tool) and/or get the Team Viewer ID and Password, ask for an admin-level Practice Management Software username and password, and a Windows Username and Password.


Having these 3 pieces of information will ensure the best experience using your App:


  1. Team Viewer (remote connection tool): ID and Password
  2. Practice Management Software: Username and Password
  3. Windows: Username and Password


This helps you in the following ways:

  • Receive better services that ensure accuracy
  • More consistent delivery of automated reporting
  • Getting the best on-demand data

Sikka offers an easy way to share your information securely. You can provide these credentials over the phone to your Customer Success Manager, or follow the steps below if you already have Team Viewer and a Sikka Utility installed.

 


Team Viewer


Find the Team Viewer icon on your computer.  It can usually be found by the date and time in the bottom right corner of your screen.  The icon looks like a blue square with a white circle in the middle. 




Right-click on the icon and select "Options"




Select "Security" from the new window.  There, you will see a space to insert a new password. 



If Team Viewer is being used by the practice, or a different company, select the "Manage Additional Passwords" link. In the pop-up window, you'll be able to add an identifier (Sikka Software) and then add an additional password to Team Viewer. 


Note: New Versions of Team Viewer have the Password settings moved to the Advanced tab




 Practice Management Software


Find the SikkaSoft Platform Utility icon on your computer.  It can usually be found by the date and time in the bottom right corner of your screen.  The icon looks like a blue circle with a white "S" in the middle. 



Right-click on the icon and select Show SikkaSoft Platform Utility.



The username and password for the Practice Management System may be entered in the fields shown above under the Settings tab on the left and the Data Path tab at the top of the SikkaSoft Platform Utility window.




The username and password for Windows may be entered in the fields shown above under the Settings tab on the left and the Service Settings tab at the top in the SikkaSoft Platform Utility.
